May Studio Roundup

What. A. Month.

Between a flurry of client projects, exciting Adobe bits, and experimenting with personal brand tweaks (some flops, some lightbulb moments), May has been full-on. The kind of month that leaves you buzzing and ever so slightly breathless.

It feels like we’re entering a new chapter at Ferrgood Studio, one where we’re stretching our wings a bit, questioning what this next version of us looks like, and getting more comfortable with the beautiful, messy business of entrepreneurship. I’ve also been deep in thought about purpose (my own ikigai) and how it weaves into the studio’s future.

More on all of this next month. You know I’ll spill the tea.

With love,
Tx

The highs 💚

  • Adobe flew me to New York for their Leaders Summit and honestly, it was electric. A few days of deep dives into the future of creativity in the age of AI, meeting their brilliant US team and creators, and getting a sneak peek at some seriously impressive features. I came back totally inspired (and slightly jetlagged) with a head full of ideas I can’t wait to play with.

  • In client news, we’re so proud to share that Cayr has just launched Pink Stitch, their first breast cancer community initiative. It’s a beautifully thoughtful project offering embroidery art workshops led by the incredible Emily Jo Gibbs, created for women navigating breast cancer, either personally or through someone they love. It’s intimate, creative, and deeply human.

  • And if you fancy a listen, I’ve shared some thoughts on how to make sustainability visible—especially when your work lives mostly in digital on the latest Soap Box podcast. Grab a cuppa and tune in.

The lows 🔴

  • We’ve recently incorporated a big milestone for Ferrgood Studio and a very necessary step in our evolution. But wow, the admin... From accounts to documentation, it’s been a bit of a paper-chasing marathon. Glamorous? Not exactly. Worth it? 100%.

  • That said, the recent travel whirlwind has thrown any semblance of routine out the window, and with it, the fragile balance I’d been working so hard to build between work and life (emphasis on the life bit).

  • The truth is, the workload right now is no joke. We’re in that stage where we need to pause, reassess, and make some real decisions about how we scale, deliver, and keep showing up for our clients in the way they deserve. No shortcuts, just strategy and a strong cup of coffee.

What’s inspiring us 🧠

🌿 Hanging out the creative community at Adobe has really been beyond inspiring and motivated. Very keen to start experimenting and playing a but more with work/content.

👩🏽‍🎨 Don’t miss out on the Grayson Perry exhibition at the Wallace Collection. It’s wonderful and I’m wishing that he starts taking over other museums and galleries.

🌞 THE SUN. And I’m making it compulsary to see it as often as I can.
